Tag - You're It!

I've been tagged by Lynette at Lynette's L.A.M. a few days ago to share 6 random things about myself.

Here's the rules:

1. Link to the person who tagged you. (Thanks, Lynette!)

2. Post the rules on your blog.

3. Write 6 random things about yourself.

4. Tag 6 people at the end of your post and link to them.

5. Let each person know they have been tagged and leave them a comment.

6. Let the tagger know when your entry is up.

My 6 things (and this isn't easy for me to think of because I'm really not that interesting):

1. The only bean I like is a jelly bean.

2. I'd give up chocolate before sweet tea...and that's saying a lot! (I'm a G.R.I.T., you know. That's a "Girl Raised in the South" for those of you from other parts of the world, and we southerners LOVE some sweet tea!)

3. I almost attended NC State University instead of UNC-Chapel Hill, but my acceptance letter to UNC arrived right before I mailed the check to NCSU.

4. I would have love to have attended SCAD instead of UNC, if I had a choice, but I grew up poor, and going to school in GA wasn't an option for me. Had I done so, I wouldn't have met my husband and had my wonderful daughter, so no regrets.

5. Took piano lessons for 5 years, and still can't play that well, but it would help if I had a piano!

6. My 1st name is Penny....not Penelope! I use to live between 2 airline Pilots, and they were nuts. One of them nick-named me "Penster". Isn't that awful???

Now, I have to tag 6 blogger buddies and let them know they've been tagged by me.

4. Terrie @
5. Amelia @

You guys have fun. I can't wait to see your 6 random things!! If it's too much for you to play along right now, then just save it for the new year! Trust me, I understand! LOL!

So cool to learn more about are so funny. I'm a GRIT too but can't say I'd give up chocolate for tea unless it was chocolate they make that? Interesting about #3 and looks like it was a good choice since you have such a great family now.

Hey, I'm a GRIT too and I love me some sweet tea. My dad always said you can tell whether or not a restaurant is owned by a Southerner by whether or not they serve sweet tea!!! Have a great day...Debbie

You're not boring at all girl,And I love sweet tea too, just can't make it like they do in GA. When we go there I drink tea everywhere we go. I hounded the people how to make sweet tea like they do, but mine still doesn't taste like theirs.

LoL! Loved learning more about you...especially finding out your name! I totally get what you mean when people don't get your name right. I have the same problem. Everyone always asumes it is Tammy or Tamera or anything but what it is. My mom just had to spell my name different-it is Tammie and all my family and friends call me Tam. That part is fine I like Tam better-I have never liked my full name-it is so a part of the "times". Every male teacher just had to sing that stupid Tammy song from the 60's to me-UUGHH! I had a freind named Penny growing up. Penny is good! I always enjoy your fun post girl! Have a terrific rest of your week!

It's always a pleasure to learn more trivia info about those people I peek in on! didn't 'seem' like a Penelope to me.
Penster? Maybe...Penelope? No.

These tags that allow us to know each other better are just so much fun. You don't eat any beans? And you'd give up chocolate before tea? I am a GRIT too, but I would fight somebody for my chocolate! Tea, not much of a fight from me. laurie
