Hard as it is to believe, there is no smoke in the kitchen today (only because I didn't cook!), and all is clear for taking photos. So, I thought I'd show you the Christmas decorations in here.
Starting with the bar...
Thanks to Cami for the idea of putting cups on a cake plate!
The island...
The Christmas card holder on the pantry door.
The countdown calendar (of course, we didn't find it until 12/5, so there's "make-up candy", so I've been told, from the 1-4th, waiting to be eaten!)
I started collecting clearance Santa plates, mostly, but not limited to (sounds like a lawyer, doesn't it?), Fitz and Floyd, so poor hubby hates the "seasonal changing of the plates" because it requires a really TALL ladder, but he's sweet enough to play along, nonetheless!
My personal favorite....
My wabbit....
Sorry about shining the light in your eyes! Guess you can say you've seen the light! ;O)
The top of the fridge.
And by the desk...(sorry for the messy desk!)
And the baker's rack... (the weather here today is ICK-O!)
And finally, this isn't in the kitchen., but...I have to admit to having a small "mean streak", and one of my favorite things to do is turn the sound on this Santa that is on my door coming in from the garage so that he frightens some unsuspecting person coming through the door when they open it (Lord, forgive me!). Santa says, "Ho, Ho, Ho", and starts singing "Jingle Bells" really loudly. Justice is served when I sometimes forget, and he frightens me too! :O) Think he needs a new ribbon/bow!
Now, if you haven't received this on e-mail, you might want to spend 5 minutes with your husband or significant other taking a look at this
You Tube video. Trust me, if men get a clue from this video this holiday season, I believe WE WILL
ALL have a
merrier Christmas. It's called "
Beware of the Doghouse"....(Sorry, I'm not a smart blogger...I don't know how to post the video any other way). Just try to watch it past where the husband enters the doghouse! So, enjoy!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Twivg7GkYtsI hope to post more trees & vintage Santas later this week. TTFN!

Well now, you just have to know that I love your Santa plates, I have a few but they have to stay hidden in the cabinet cause I'm not as lucky as you, to have a place to display them. :( sniff sniff.

Hope you're having a good week.
i have to say although I love your Christmas things, that Kitchen of your just sets everything off so beautifully!
Your Santa collection is AMAZING!!! That is a GAGGLE of Santas for sure! The video totally cracked me up...but I'm a bit worried there might be a female version of the dog house. I bought my hubby an iron for Christmas..seriously...it's what he wanted lol. But then I asked for a Shotgun and food storage...so hey...we might both need a big doghouse to share!
What an amazing Santa collection, I especially love the Santa tree. But I do have a suggestion, I think you should send me that gorgeous green pitcher so you will have room for more plates lol! Kathy

I don't like our chandy but with the decorations it's better. I'm trying to keep the dining room simple b/c we will have 11 people in there. Glad you like it
Tar, you always make me giggle!
I LOVE your Santa tree! I did one once but I wasn't happy w/ it. It didn't look nearly as good as your's! Maybe it's the red tree you used? Anyway, I love your's & maybe I'll be copying you next year. ;o)
I was going to post that video on my blog...you beat me to it!!! Isn't it hysterical? I thought it kinda odd, that hubby didn't laugh at it, as hard as I did. LOL
