Having a Little Fun with Sweet Baby

One of my first memories of enjoying crafts was at Vacation Bible School when I was kid. This is what I made. The paint is chipping off the ghost, but you get the idea.
So, when my daughter had her birthday party last month, we went to a place in town where you can paint pottery. This is what a few of her friends made...(I forgot to take photos of the others before I delivered them...sorry!)
Look at the detail....a kid after my own heart!Move over, Martha (as in Stewart)!
And another friend made this: The plate we all left our fingerprint on to commemorate her birthday. She painted the names.

And a few other things painted by Sweet Baby:
Sorry about the flash on this one...he's going to be a snowman ornament for her Nana.

And she made this to give to our friend whose nickname is "Doodle".

The cat was made when she was little.
And I painted... Sorry about the flash & shadows....I'm still learning how to work this camera!
And Frosty...

Well, that's what we've been doing. It's pretty relaxing, so if you've never done it, you should try it sometime!

As a note, I'll be unable to check my comments for a few days, but just know I read each & every comment and appreciate each of you that take the time to stop by whether you leave a comment or not! And if you get a moment, please sign my guest book at the bottom of my blog! I like to see where you live. Have a great weekend!

Oh, we have a place like that here, The Clay Cafe, and my grandkids LOVE to go there and paint. Last year I took a couple of them and they made things for their mom for Christmas. On Christmas morning, my daughter was prouder of those two gifts than all the others....

Oh how cute, she will have those to cherish now for the rest of her life. We have a "paint your own pottery" here, but I've never tried it. Hope you are having an enjoyable weekend.
