Fall Tablescape

As always, Susan over at Between Naps on the Porch is kind enough to host another Tablescape Tuesday, so I thought I'd share my Fall Tablescape 2008. Now, as noted in an earlier entry, we are in DESPARATE need of some color on those walls, which I promise will be changed by my Fall Tablescape 2009, if I still have breath! And thank God it's Tablescape Tuesday, because if it were Foodescape Tuesday, well...I'd just have to escape because I'm not much of a cook (as you'll notice from the lack of food in my photos). Sorry that I forgot to light the candles for ya'll...please forgive! I found these cute little pilgrim salt & pepper shakers at the 1st Hallmark store in the area where I grew up in the 1980s. I think they're so sweet. The leaf plates came from Crate and Barrel, probably in the mid-to late 1990s. Still searching for the right chargers. The green plates are from one of the TJX/Home Goods/Marshall's stores & the silver passed down from a dear friend whose always with me in spirit. The runner is from Dollar Tree. :O) The glasses are a recent purchase from one of those Princess House parties & they have a lot of yummy pieces to match...but they're a tad $$! (Sorry, I couldn't pick a photo that I liked best...so I put all 4!)
The little squirrel tureen came from Goodwill on one of my recent trips. I call him Scooter McNutty. Isn't it weird that I've named him?, but it reminds me of a book (I think it was a Golden one) I use to read TK. I can't remember the name of it. I found the pitcher at an antique store here last fall. I love the colors.
I hope you've enjoyed taking a look at my tablescape! Have Table-scape-a-licious Day!

The decorative fruit on the table looks as if it is covered with ice or frost. Just gorgeous.
That nut looks big enough to feed Scooter McNutty most of the Winter. What a wonderful find.
Totally lovely dining room.

Oh, Mamma Queen...I am sick at my stomach about the election, just as you are. I am scared for our country and for all of us. There's not one thing we can do to change it, tho, except pray he makes some changes in his way of thinking. We CAN DO THAT...we can pray very hard that he will do the right things for us.
