Tuesday...and not in the Tablescape Way

Ok, so I voted 2 days ago, and I was in & out in 45 minutes...the worst part was it appeared they were short staffed, so I can only imagine what Tuesday will be like. I would suggest you vote early, if you can because I can see a big issue coming about everyone not getting in to vote "in time" on Tuesday night. As I've stated before, neither guy is really "MY" candidate; however, this year, I based my decision on my religious beliefs...not that I'm trying to be preachy.

OR.....

That being said...there is still time to vote. I would encourage everyone to do so, whether we agree on the "team" or not.

I received this over e-mail yesterday.

Please consider this regarding REDISTRIBUTION.....

Yesterday on my way to lunch I passed a homeless guy with a
sign that read 'Vote Obama, I need the money.' I laughed.

Once in the restaurant my server had on an 'Obama 08' button, again
I laughed as he had given away his political preference-- just
imagine the coincidence.

When the bill came I decided not to tip the server and explained to
him that I was exploring the Obama redistribution of wealth concept.
He stood there in disbelief while I told him that I was going to
redistribute his tip to someone who I deemed more in need - the
homeless guy outside. The server angrily stormed from my sight.

I went outside, gave the homeless guy $10 and told him to thank the
server inside, as I've decided he could use the money more. The
homeless guy was grateful.

At the end of my rather unscientific redistribution experiment, I
realized the homeless guy was grateful for the money he did not
earn
, but the waiter was pretty angry that I gave away the money he
did earn
even though the actual recipient needed money more.

I don't know about you....but my family has always had to work for EVERYTHING we have. I'll help almost anyone, but I'm not really interested in giving FREE RIDES! (not financially, anyway)

Enough said...And as always, may God bless America and her allies!

I voted early today, too...stood in line for about an hour and a half. The lines here in GA have been running 4-5 hours at some sites, so I was afraid I'd be in line 8 hours if I waited until Tuesday. Never seen turnout like this before. Liked your "story"...feel the same way! Susan

I seen on the news that on some web sites they were posting the wrong date for people to vote. This was causing confusion for first time voters. I think that is terrible. They are doing this on purpose.

It's going to get nasty...I have even read warnings that people are stocking up on guns & ammo as there could be riots if Obama doesn't win...I really hope people in our country won't stoop to that level.

I found your blog through Sandy Toes. I noticed it because of the UNC logo. My son was born on the campus of UNC at the hospital there. He loves, loves Carolina and loathes Duke. It is bad here in my house when the two play basketball against each other. My husband and I are for Duke. We live in TX now. I am originally from S.C. Come visit my blog whenever you get the chance.
I voted early too. We waited about an hour. I am with you on that subject. Oh, and we have a friend that is stocking up on guns and he said he knows several people that are doing the same here in TX. Not a good sign.

We tried to vote early the other night and the wait was 1.5 hours at 8 p.m! We hightailed it out, because we had the two-year-old with us!! We're trying again on Sunday, but I may just wait, because no one will be there on voting day!! :) I got this e-mail today and sent it on -- I don't usually do that but I couldn't pass this one up. It says it all perfectly. :)

Oh My!!!!! I have to use this story abt. your redistributing, it is so perfect!!!!! I think we should send it in to CNN and have them use it as one of their examples. I cannot get over how perfect you pulled this one off!!! BRAVO. Anyway, I happened to see your comment over on Curious Sofa and since I have family in NC I had to check out the TarHeel. Glad I did!!!
