Kristen said the Friends Award is given to blogs that are exceedingly charming. These kind bloggers aim to find and to be friends. They are not interested in self-aggrandizement. (Kristen said to omit that self-aggrandizement part - see below for the reason!).
Neither of us knew what that meant, so she googled it and decided to take that part out because it means, "the act of making oneself more powerful, wealthy, etc., esp. in a ruthless way" because she didn't like the "especially in a ruthless way" part! The hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers.
The award is supposed to be passed onto 8 bloggers. And, since I consider all of you my friends, I'm just going to pass this along to those of you who are kind enough to still stop by and visit on a regular basis, even when my blog posts tend to get boring - in my opinion, true friends are always loyal. Note, that it was hard to find 8 of you because so many of you have already received this award!

I like your Background! "smiles" Great minds think a like! LOL! I'm not a pink person, but I do love pink combined with lime green! Have you seen the new garden flags around the Carolinas, the lime green and pink with zebra accents and monograms. My MIL was telling me about them and I am headed to the local garden shop to get one myself!

Now, in regards to my post today... LOVED your comments! I am interested in hearing what color you might suggest. I certainly understand what you are saying about the furniture in the room... after 6 years things seem to just keep going and going. That is why I asked you all... I get so used to seeing it how it is instead of how it could be!

The matelasse is a cream color, and the red is more of a berry color. Hope that helps. I LOVE your ideas... and I am glad you are answering questions that others are asking, too... it helps so much. Decorating just isn't in my talent bag, if you know what I mean!
