The DORY AWARD

When I had my daughter, several years ago, I am fully convinced that my brain cells passed through the umbilical cord straight on to her. Especially the ones containing my memory because her memory is almost photographic, and mine is almost non-existent. I can only imagine what would have happened if I had more than one child.

Because I can't remember squat, I've created the Dory Award. (Do you remember Dory from Finding Nemo?)

Unlike most awards passed around in Blogland, this one is not to be passed along TO others (after all, that wouldn't be very nice, would it?)...it is to be TAKEN. If you consider yourself eligible to receive the DORY AWARD, then by all means please take it and display it proudly on your blog! You know best if you deserve it!

And if you do, WELCOME to the DORY CLUB! If you're not qualified to join, be thankful!

Now, be sure to come back tomorrow for I WONDER WEDNESDAY. If you'd like to "wonder" too, leave me a comment, and I'll link up to you in tomorrow's post. Later in the week, we're going consigning! I know how much we all love to shop! WOO HOO!!!

I LOVE THIS!! I will take it and remember it proudly.

Now what was my blog called?

Oh brother, I just read what I wrote. I got too excited about somebody else understanding the 40+ memory thing and didn't even say it correctly.

I will wear it proudly. :)

This is a PERFECT award! I will be taking it and displaying it proudly. I have notes everywhere so I can remember what needs to be done. Also, my chalkboard right by my front door always has some kind of note or message on it so I won't forget!♥

I feel that I am very well deserving of this award...I'm not sure if I've got the guts to actually take it, or remember where I saw it for that matter...you're very brave and also creative to think of this...what were we talking about?

I was just thinking about this subject of memory loss. I'm 41 and have a hrad time lately remembering things from 2 weeks ago. I use to remember everything! I sure hope it doesn't get worse!

I believe once you become a mom you just lose your any type of memory. My kids seem to remember every detail of their life and the only thing I can say is what?

My daughter doesn't have a blog, but I am going to pass it to her too. She'll get a kick out of knowing she is not alone.
IT happened to her while she was pregnant.WHOOSH!No memory.IT still hasn't come back, her daughter is 22.??????????????
Thank you and what a cute and honest thing to do...ann

How funny. I truly do believe that when you have children you just gotta learn to live with memory loss. After my kids grew up and left home, I've slowly gotten better but I understand that I'll start losin' it again before long because of age. Oh well, at least I won't remember when I could remember.
Very cute award!
