Easter Decor Party

Hi and thanks for stopping by!  Today, I link with Lynette at Lynette's L.A.M. for the Easter Decor Party.  Thanks for hosting such a fun meme, Lynette!  I will warn you now that this is a long post with alot of pictures.

So, I'll show you a few of our things.
I found this cute Easter basket at Home Goods this year.  I should own stock in that company!  I added the Pier 1 'bunny on a stick' and butterflies, but the picture is a little blurred, so they are hard to see.  The bunny was an antique store purchase this year.
This bunny is a music box I found at Cracker Barrel about 5-6 years ago.

The 3 little rabbits came from Tuesday Morning, this year.

This was my first Etsy purchase.
Got the green plate at Home Goods and the bunny basket at a thrift store several years ago.

I don't shop on eBay much anymore, but this little rabbit needed to be adopted by me.
The great room mantel
Couldn't decide which one of these pictures was best, so I'm showing both.
Up close...
The trees came from Tuesday Morning this year, I've had the planter for awhile, and the basket was a recent thrift store find.
The Easter sign came from Hobby Lobby this year, the little chicks were on clearance at Tuesday Morning last year.
I collect vintage Easter planters.  This started when I first started thrifting, you could pick them up for almost nothing.  Now, apparently, others have decided to collect them too, and they're not so cheap.  For Easter, I like to display them in my bookcases.
The up close views...

The other side...

The keeping room mantel...
The plate came from Pier 1 clearance,
the 'HOP' blocks from 'sassytalk' on Etsy,

and I don't remember where the pink rabbit was purchased.

The old rabbit and chicks have funny faces, and I picked them up at a church yard sale.  I think they are pretty old (as in, older than me :) because they told me a man's grandmother made them, and I believe he was a senior citizen.  The chick's hats are removable and the rabbit has false eyelashes.  The wire bird basket was found at Cracker Barrel last year.
The kitchen...

The island...

Top of the fridge
Top of the kitchen cabinets

The 'Happy Spring' sign was a $3.99 find at Ross this year.  I debated on whether or not to get it, but since the green matched and tulips are my favorite flower, it was a keeper.  Can you imagine handpainting a piece of slate and only selling it for $3.99?
The teapot is new, this year, from Home Goods because he matched the vase on the fridge.
See all those cookbooks?  They're just for looks!  Ha!  :)

The bar...

My favorite Easter display this year...
except that I never got lavendar for the vase
The birds and 'Bloom' sign came from Michael's this year.
Love the cross.  It was a recent Hob Lob find.
'Let life love and joy overflow from your heart'.

On to the dining room...

you saw the table featured here last week on Tablescape Thursday

I recently found this plate and I just could not walk away.  I tried.
There are too many rabbits around here, so some had to be caged.
The soup tureen was a birthday gift this year.  It was purchased at Tuesday Morning also.

I'm also linking up with the following blogs:

Thanks to everyone that has stopped by.  Please leave me a comment, if you get the chance.
I wish you and your family a safe and happy Easter!

Hello~I've truly missed my visits, but little by little I'm catching up.
Although last month was difficult with our loses a new month has brought new hope.
I poured myself a cup of tea and read a spell...You've got some wonderful Easter decor.
We need to chat about the Tiffany inspired lamp...GORGEOUS! I would love a pair of those bedecking my home too.
I'm so excited to see spring blooms popping up. I look forward to applying the inspirational palette of colors into a few DIY decorations and gifts, with a little baking/cooking in between.
Don't you love the aroma that fills the air during this season?
It's definitely invigorating.

Sweet wishes,
Sara

Likewise, it's nice to meet a fellow dish addict! And I love your photos, particularly the bunny with the carrots under the cloche, and the rectangular green wicker basket holding that incredibly sweet green pitcher with the white bunny. I'm glad you got the Happy Spring sign -- my eyes were drawn to it immediately -- and I'm jealous you found something that great for $3.99! I know what you mean about deciding what to keep of those we love. The law books were easy for me. But I let go my grandmother's dresser and now want it back!!

Thanks for finding time to visit Penny. My third child, a daughter, suffered terrible with ear infections when she was around a year old. I know what you are going through. Poor baby, poor mama too. It is so hard to know your baby is suffering and all you can do is hold them. We do have lives beyond blogging. Our family comes first always. Your 10 year old with mono is hard to cope with. My girls have both had mono but they were teens and in college. You have your hands full.
Hope your baby and your older daughter improve quickly.
Blessings and prayers go out to you Penny,

I laughed at your misspelled word and your correction. I think you are a perfectionist. I misspell words too. I almost always correct them in another comment. I bet we think alike.

I did hear from Bo, finally. She is having a hard time sleeping. I am so sad for her. Her grandson, the love of her life, is with her right now. I am glad about that.

I was so happy to see you stopped by for a visit!! Gosh I have been so bad about getting around much in blogland- I have been canning every spare moment - it seems that everything matures at the same time in Co with their short growing season and I had bushels of peaches, apples, grapes, etc all over the place! Think I am at the end with doing apple pie in a jar and applesauce today.

We also have been working on getting the food and clothing pantry started. Handed out about 50 boxes this Friday and the clothing party is soon to be implemented!! Seems everyone is excited and it was fun meeting some new faces this month!

Penny, thanks so much for your sweet comments on my blog. You are just the best. I've been MIA for the last month, but I wanted to be sure and get by here and thank you for your kindness. Your prayers and the prayers of other blogging friends have helped to carry me through. It's so hard to lose your BFF, and I went to two meetings today where she was supposed to be. It was a hard day, but the Lord sees us through.

Love to you, my friend...

XO,

Sheila

Thanks so much for visiting me. Long time no see....

First of all I see that you also have those same little set of three bunnies from Tuesday Morning, so cute!

I love that little tin of coco with the ME witch on it! The cocoa is terrible... but I just wanted it for decoration :o)

Come by anytime, and I hope you get around to blogging again too. (I took all of last year off)

You can always do a few holiday re-post! So many new bloggers to share with :)

Hey, sugar! I'm just getting back into the land of blogging, and I believe you had a question for me about following. I would be honored if you followed, Penny.

What you need to do is sign into your account and then go up to the top of my page, above the header. You will see a blogger "B" in the far left corner. Next to that is a search space, and next to that is the word follow. Click right there and follow the instructions. That's how you do it. :-)

Hope you had a wonderful Christmas, and I also hope you will have a very blessed New Year.

Much love coming your way...

XO,

Sheila :-)

Good to hear from you! Aren't you still blogging? Yes, I feel better to know I'm not the only one who loses things and still don't have my vignettes done! LOL!

Thanks for the comment!

Wow - what an amazing collection of Easter decor you have! I love it all, but I think my favorite is the bunny under the cloche on the green cake stand.

Thanks for the nice comment on my Christmas tablescape. I must say it feels odd leaving you a comment on a post from Easter 2010. I did visit a few of your Christmas posts from 2009 and 2008 and you have some very nice things. I think your Santa tree is very sweet. Would love to see what's new in your collection. Have a Hoppy New Year! Thanks again.
